Evolution and Appeals to the Physico-Theological Concentration
Hello Rabbi,
I just read your article about evolution and faith from "Knowing the Land Through Your Eyes"
- Regarding the argument of infinite universes – is it wrong to say that a detective could have encountered DNA in the victim's body with a knife and instead of assuming that the owner of the DNA was the one who did it, believe that there are simply infinite universes and therefore it is possible that the findings before us are just a coincidence?
- Does the Rabbi mean that the argument simply says that the very fact that at the end of a certain process there is a complex thing is itself evidence that it is reasonable to assume that at the beginning of the process there is intelligence/a factor that arranged for it to happen intentionally, and the appeals try to add assumptions about how this process was supposed to look or when we assume intelligence following a complex result (i.e. – only when we know that the object was usually created by intelligence, like an airplane)?

In principle, yes, although in the case of the detective we have experience of DNA being found in various places, which cannot be said about the creation of worlds.
I didn't understand the second question.
