Does the Rabbi know of a source by Rabbi Kook in which he writes that our 1575 count for the creation of the world is actually a count for the creation of the homosapiens-thinking man, and that the story of Genesis about the first man also refers to this man?
I have no idea. I’m not familiar with his writings.
I don't know about Rabbi Kook, but I know that Rabbi Gedaliah Nadel raised such a hypothesis in his book, The Hidden Torah of Rabbi Gedaliah. You can find it online.
