Why do a captive baby and a foreigner who converted among the Gentiles bring a sin offering, when they are completely raped?

This is, as is well known, a dispute among the Amoraim. In my opinion, the Sages saw these babies as having erred in one thing (the entire Torah), and therefore incur fewer sins than a normal erring in one shirk. For them, there is one shirk for each type of offense.
I think that in their day it should have been clear to every intelligent person that there is a God and that there is an obligation to keep His commandments, and so on, what the commandments are. So anyone who grows up among the Gentiles is mistaken because they do not know that the commandments are the same as ours. They had to check and come to the correct conclusion (with the assumption being that whoever checks will probably come to it). Nowadays, this is not the case, of course, and therefore the assumption changes. Even if they check, they will not necessarily come to the “correct” conclusion. Therefore, there is room to argue that today they are a rape fence. Therefore, the concept of a captive baby does not really capture our situation today, and I have already written about this in the past (and also in the trilogy).

Thank you.
It is difficult for me to explain your honor, since even someone who knew that there was a God - a Gentile who converted among the Gentiles, but did not know that the Sabbath was forbidden - must bring a sin offering.

מיכי Staff replied 5 years ago

I don't know his honor. Do you mean my explanation that is difficult for you? 🙂
I didn't state the difficulty. That's exactly what I wrote, that someone who knows that there is a God and only doesn't know the commandments is mistaken and not a sinner. I am more like someone who doesn't know at all that there is a God and there are commandments.

Hahaha you made me laugh…

My point is, why should such a person be considered an accident and not a rape? According to the rationale you said, that he is expected to clarify, such a person does not know that he is supposed to clarify. From his perspective, what he was told is Jewish law.

Every person should know that they need to find out the truth. But if you laugh, that's good. A good laugh is good for your health. Good luck

The Rabbi's sense of humor is always amusing. I mean, Rabbi, if you are a Gentile who is told that there is no Sabbath in the Torah, why would you try to see if you were misled? As far as you are concerned, the Rabbi told you what the Halacha says and you trust it. Don't you agree with me?

מיכי Staff replied 5 years ago

They don't tell you that there is no Sabbath, but that there is no Torah. If there is a God and there are commandments, it is reasonable that you would try to find out what He commanded and what His commandments are. Remember that this is about an accident and not about a forced act. When you forgot that today is the Sabbath, you are considered an accident. Why? And why did you have to check? That's what you thought.

Who revealed to the rabbi that ”even if he investigates, he will not necessarily reach the “correct” conclusion” and therefore it is rape. What is the rabbi's source for this transition between accidental and rape?

מיכי Staff replied 5 years ago

Our eyes see that many intelligent people do not accept the arguments in favor of faith.
I did not understand why a source is needed here: for the fact that rape is exempt? Or for the fact that such a thing is called rape? Both are clear.

e replied 5 years ago

That such a thing is called rape. We did not find it but a mistake in the

Rape with knowledge is also rape. See Shavuot 25 (the person swears except for rape). And many more like it. And so is the well-known Radb”Z on rape with knowledge.

e replied 5 years ago

Sorry for the repeated request, but I would be happy if the rabbi would tell me the location of the rabbi again. Thank you.

מיכי replied 5 years ago

Do you mean the Radb”z?

e replied 5 years ago

Add him too… (:
Anyone who says that a person with the power of choice can rape themselves is invited to my interrogation…
danke schön

I didn't understand anything. What are you asking for? Annabelle writes riddles.

e replied 5 years ago

I mistakenly thought the rabbi wrote Rabb. I want the Radb's place. And if there are others who hold his opinion, I would be happy for them too. Thank you.
