Abortion and liberalism.

Peace be upon the Maran Shlita.
Liberalism puts the value of life and the human being first. It strives for equality between all beings without distinction, granting rights to every system, trend, and will, and even goes so far as to advocate vegetarianism and abolishing the death penalty altogether. However, even though the aversion to abortion should be natural, the opposite happens. It fights for abortion even when the embryo is at a very advanced stage, which causes its destruction by cruel means of scraping. This is very strange. Has liberalism’s sick hatred of the religion that fights abortion blinded it to that extent?

I wrote a post about this (73). In my opinion, in many cases this is indeed the explanation. Beyond that, of course, there is convenience. The mother’s convenience outweighs the rights of the fetus. There are also tensions here around the exploitation of the mother as a device for creating children, etc. All of this blinds them to the serious problematic nature of fetal murder. This is indeed shocking and astonishing blindness, especially when you see how total and uncontroversial it is.
