The reference to minorities is not from a technical perspective, but from the perspective of the attitude towards them and their affiliation. Do you think Jews in America are defined as a minority group like blacks, Hispanics, Asians, etc., or do they belong to the white majority?

Sociologically, minorities are associated with low socioeconomic status and little political power. Unfortunately for us, we are rich and have the most powerful lobby in US politics.
PS. Quite amazingly, major political moves in the US rise and fall according to Jewish support or lack thereof - a no small source of anti-Semitism.
