Between science and religion.

Hello Rabbi.
I am generally in favor of separating religion from science so that neither influences the other, but on the other hand, as a religious person, I cannot no longer support research that is in line with the religious view. Am I doing the right thing? What does the rabbi think about the issue?

It is impossible to establish a clear line. Every person has starting points and it is impossible to interpret and build theories without this. Therefore, there is no obstacle to taking religious beliefs into account when you are considering two scientific options, and your faith can be a consideration in the decision. Just as everyone uses their beliefs in such situations. Intellectual honesty is still needed, not to adopt clearly unreasonable interpretations or theories just by virtue of faith.
