Can there be dualistic determinism?

Hello Rabbi,
I read your book “The Science of Freedom,” and I wanted to ask why there can’t be dualistic determinism, and perhaps the spirit also operates according to some fixed rules.
I would love to understand (as much as possible) what the spirit is and how it works, and how the mechanism of free choice works, and from that to understand how to truly choose.
Thank you very much!

I explained it there. It’s certainly possible. The connection is the other way around: there is no libertarianism without dualism, but deterministic dualism is possible.
