Many claim that this move is intended to slowly eliminate cash and essentially force us all to use credit, thus limiting our freedom.
A. Do you think this is the motive?
B. Ostensibly, if the goal is not to eliminate taxes, then is that actually a good thing? (Even assuming the goal is indeed the abolition of cash)

I am not familiar with the details. There is no problem in principle with the abolition of cash, no more than the requirement to report expenses and income.
