Do you think Isaiah Leibowitz was a Deist or was he a theist?
2. Is reciting the Shema of the bed obligatory, and if so, which of the following is obligatory?

1. Theist. He was committed to the commandments, wasn’t he?
2. In Berakhot 60b it is explained that the obligation is the meaning of Israel, and if it is heard and the one who rejects. From here on out, these are customs, some of which are mentioned in the Talmud (Rival Shavuot 15b).
