1) I listened again to the lesson before the last (#5) and did not hear any reference to the Hasidic method where no leaf falls unless God has decreed it.
2 The Gemara in Yoma Mbafa states that Hillel is obligatory for the poor, etc. But why? My point of choice is not at the level of Hillel.

I don’t usually refer to methods that are (in my opinion) absurd. Incidentally, this appears in the Midrash and Gemara, not just in Hasidism. But a distinction must be made between a natural act and a chosen act, and in this lesson we dealt with chosen acts.
The Gemara apparently assumed that Hillel’s advantage was due to his effort and not because his starting point was different. You assume what you are looking for when you say that he started from a different point.
