Free choice and Libet experiments
In the SD
Greetings to the Honorable Rabbi,
I saw that the rabbi is an ardent supporter of libertarianism, but it is not clear to me how he remains a supporter of the aforementioned method after the findings of the Libet experiments and afterwards.
After all, Libet’s experiments proved that there are variables that dictated the choice even before the person’s awareness of the choice.
And the new experiments (for example here ) have shown that Libet’s veto findings do not really exist, (based on imaging and scanning of the brain and skull structure.)
So if it is possible to predict 100% in advance what a person will do, it means that there is no free choice.
Isn’t that right?
