I am complicated.
I’m having trouble with my faith.
On the one hand, I am convinced that it is much more likely that there is a Creator of the universe, and that there is some spiritual being who is the reason for the entire complex and ramified system in which we live.
The story of the revelation of the people of Israel also speaks to me. There is no doubt that it is a fantastic story that is very difficult to plant – assuming it did not exist – and it would take a group of lunatics to invent an entire Torah based on remembering mass events that did not exist.
On the other hand, there are some strange things that don’t give me peace, and they make it difficult for me to accept the Torah as it is.
- A verse like ‘And God separated between the waters which were under the heaven and the waters which were above the heaven’.
- The Torah does not know the mind – but only the heart, like the science of the time.
- The Torah does not address the enormous upheaval of the new science – which changed the world.

- She does not talk about the brain or the heart, but uses terminology that speaks to humans according to their accepted understanding. The heart is also a metaphor for this matter, as it is for emotions.
- I don’t understand. You’re asking why the Torah doesn’t have the Schrödinger equation?

And what did Nathan Abiezer explain about the water?
Read it there. I don't remember the details. It just shows that at creation there was a lot of upper water.
