Is a determined secular Zionism possible today?
Hey Miki
I would be very happy if you would address my question as to whether, in your opinion, a determined secular Zionism is possible today.
Until the kite and balloon terror began, I didn’t think that today determination would again be needed for secularists to continue living here.
What stood behind the rationale for Palestinian terrorism was their thought that they would succeed in making life miserable for us here, and after all, in the 1980s there was a large decline from the country, but then the great immigration from the USSR came, and it ruined the Palestinians’ calculations.
Hamas’s rationale, backed by Iranian funding and training, is likely to get us to launch a military operation that would require us to “flatten” Gaza, all under the microscope of hostile international media. Then even al-Sisi will not be able to ignore the anger of his people, and certainly of Abdullah of Jordan, as well as the Saudis.
Maybe the army has some cards up its sleeve that it prefers to hide for its own reasons.
But we must not assume that “things will work out.”
Unexpected things always happen [even if there are people who saw the future] and you have to be prepared for everything.
Right now I’m referring to a process of slow erosion, where rational people would ask themselves: What do I need this for?
Then, naturally, people with the required skills will leave the country, and slowly a process of destroying the high-tech economy may develop.
As you have long known, my Zionism is based on arguments that are not without harm to the written Torah.
Do you think it is possible to formulate a Zionist idea that is also valid for secularists committed to enlightenment and rationality?
Thanks in advance and have a good week.

A, listen, it's clear that you're worried, if you believe as you should believe, you have nothing to worry about, you yourself said that there would be high-tech economic destruction if people who are religious leave the country …. So what?
Therefore, regarding your question, even if it is possible to formulate a Zionist idea, it also applies to secularists who are committed to enlightenment and rationality. So that's it, would that be accurate? Would that be true for all these secularists? No. There are types of rational secularists of all kinds of opinions that are different in their extremes, what is good for one is not good for another, what is suitable for one is not suitable for another, and even if they rush to leave the country, then what? Anyone who leaves the country simply risks assimilation.
As a person of faith, you should not worry about the news, literally, because there is nothing new under the sun. The Torah is eternal - we will keep it — we will survive in the country, we will prosper and succeed. We will not keep it – a small part will survive and suffer. Hint: Ezekiel said to the rational enlightened ones: What comes to your mind would be that you will not live, I am the speech of the Lord, if not with a strong hand and with a poured out wrath I will reign over you. My brother, do not be moved by political science or rational future predictions or anything else. Cast your care on the Lord and He will save you and will never let a righteous person die. May He bless you. In short, I agree with Rabbi Michi who said in short that no ideological consolidation will help. When is the bond of the secular strong? When the bond of the religious is weak! This is Libra with him, my brother. And most importantly, you know and understand that it is not related to quantity but to quality. What is the proof? If there are 50 righteous people? Then forgive the fifty? Until it decreases and decreases because how can such a quantity help save entire cities compared to a huge secular quantity in a rough comparison? But to teach you that the quality of the righteous is what is important. See that thanks to Abraham, Lot was saved. But it all depends on the state of secularism, sometimes even if there is one righteous person it doesn't help.. For example, Noah, in whose day there was a devastating flood. And even though he was a righteous person, it didn't help save the rest of the inhabitants, and why? Simply because they became too confused. Therefore, we need to wake up because the cards in our hands are weak and if God doesn't save us - who will save us. God will give strength to his people - God will bless his people with peace. Our days are new as before. Amen! God is king - God is king – God will reign – forever and ever!
