Is the universe a mathematical structure?
Here https://www.hayadan.org.il/ground-problem-of-metaphysics-part-2-0704103 Marius Cohen tries to explain that the entire universe is a mathematical structure and therefore does not need any explanation of how or why it exists, because it necessarily exists like mathematics (this thesis is promoted by some scientists even though most of the scientific world opposes it)
What does the rabbi think about this thesis?
I skimmed through for a few minutes, and got the impression that, as I’ve seen several times before, the man is confused and doesn’t know what chess is. His claims here are not well defined (What does it mean that the universe is a mathematical structure. That it has a mathematical description? That it is almost trivial. That it is itself a mathematical structure? What is that even?). My third notebook explains why this is nonsense.
I think this question has already been raised once.
