Kabbalistic explanations

שו”תKabbalistic explanations
asked 5 years ago

Ready for joy,
To certain questions about faith, I receive an answer that “there are explanations according to Kabbalah, and if you understood anything about it, you wouldn’t have any questions. Just like there are physics professors who understand how the world works even though we don’t understand anything. And even if we give explanations that satisfy us, the physics professors always know what is right better than us and we deceive ourselves. And so it is with regard to the Kabbalists.” I wanted to know what your position on the subject is. For example: The technological development that brings with it ignorance among the youth and intensifies sexuality and abomination is because we are before the redemption and the afterlife is about to pass from the world (after all, the evil inclination will be slaughtered), and therefore it is rampant with all its might. This is the real explanation.
That’s still quite understandable.
But for example, if I ask a slightly scarier question like how do you reconcile knowledge and choice (I read your method 🙂 ) then I might get something like: “‘Ita in the river Pelagio, knowledge of the sacred scripture, in the letter of the ancient Yod, as it is written in Genesis, ‘Here is he who said, “My sons are the firstborn of Israel. Here is in the upper forehead, there is a choice at all, and father and mother I know, and oneness of all, I will hold on to in my heart.'” I hope I didn’t cut corners.
In short, I remember you once quoted Noam Chomsky in this context, saying that if I don’t understand something, I can ask someone to explain it to me in a language I can understand, or study on my own and understand. And if I still can’t, it’s probably nonsense.
So since I don’t see myself studying Kabbalah anytime soon, I’m asking you, after all, you’ve been involved in it for a good few years. Are there really issues that require explanations that cannot be expressed in a language that is not Kabbalistic and that require using concepts that are only understandable to the privileged few? Could it be that the real answers are found with the Kabbalists (behind the scenes) and we are actually deluding ourselves?
Sorry for the length.

A distinction must be made between contradictions and questions. Knowing and choosing is a contradiction, and therefore there is no point in talking about answers in Kabbalah. If there is an explanation why this is not a contradiction, it can probably be presented in Bangla as well. But as for questions, there may be answers in Kabbalah that cannot be understood in Bangla. This of course does not mean that Kabbalists necessarily know this, but it can be assumed that in principle there are some answers. It is like a question in physics that no expert can answer. Does this mean that there is no answer? There is some answer, even if no expert knows it.
