Legalization of drugs
I haven’t looked into the issue in depth. In general, I tend to agree that something that is not harmful to others should not be banned. Even clear harm to the person himself can only be banned if society is not willing to finance his treatment and assistance, etc. (which is why fattening food or cigarettes are not banned). The factual question of whether there is indeed harm to others here (the slippery slope from weed to heavier things) is the focus of the matter. As I understood from people, this is probably not true. Another question is whether people drive under such influences and what harm is there in this, but here too people are not banned from drinking alcohol (but only from driving under its influence) even though it is also dangerous for driving.
