Hello Rabbi
I would love to hear what songs the Rabbi likes to hear.
And in the Rabbi’s opinion, are there any styles of songs that are worth listening to or not worth listening to?
(I apologize if the question is a bit unrelated, but for the sake of argument, this can teach a lot)

A matter of taste. I don’t think there are any rules to it. I also don’t think it’s very instructive.

Also joining the question as a curiosity

מיכי replied 6 years ago

For those of you who have a curiosity: I like old Hebrew songs (not very much) and jazz.

What?! Fascist songs that incite nationalism?! 🙂

A person appreciates an intellectual personality.
Then he discovers that he is a jazz lover.
🙁

Jazz is Afro-American music, and balances and atones for the fondness for national Hebrew music, nationalism and universalism come together: however, we were relieved to hear that Ramada is not a fan of Hasidic music!

With greetings, Y.R. (Yishai Rivvo? / Yonatan Razel?)

It is true that jazz is also Hebrew national music, as is explained in the verse: "Are you not like the sons of the negroes?", but Ramada believes that we cannot learn from the Scriptures 🙂

What is the ruling on Egavim songs these days?

מיכי replied 6 years ago

In my opinion, Yishai Rivo is excellent. Talk about genres, not specific songs or verses.
Depends on what you call Egvim songs. Songs that provoke forbidden reflections are certainly forbidden.

Is the rabbi a fan of acid jazz?

מיכי replied 6 years ago

I don't know what it is.
