A person who wants to acquire systematic knowledge in philosophy independently and not in any academic framework, how would the Rabbi recommend that he do this, through what books, what methods, etc.

Anne Lee: A general method. Start reading and scroll through your interests. I suggest you start reading secondary literature (not primary), meaning books on philosophy. When you focus on what interests you, you can delve deeper.
Without knowing anything specific, Open University books are usually good.
