Hello,
Does the Rabbi think that the state should punish Chaim K. for the disaster he brought upon a large portion of the world’s inhabitants?
Greetings, Benjamin, who desires justice, Gorlin

At first I thought about deleting this question as well. But on second thought I thought there was a question here (even if the motivation for posing it is pretty clear).
This is a legal question. In principle, there is a violation of state law here (sedition or incitement) and as such he can be prosecuted. What is the punishment given for this? I don’t know. It depends on the circumstances (what did he know at the time, although on a legal level, ignorance of the law does not exempt from punishment, and on the contrary, it seems that he did know, since his grandson told him that the state was ordering the yeshivas and the haidarim to be closed).

In any case, he did not bring disaster upon a large portion of the world’s inhabitants. This is biased nonsense. If there is a punishment, it is for the rebellion and not for the disaster itself.

It is a great pity that R’ Michi does not protest the desecration of the Torah committed here by Binyamin Gorlin in calling out the name of the greatest Rebbe we know today. I protest. Both against Binyamin's calling out and against R’ Michi's silence. Perhaps R’ Michi does not see it as a disgrace, but every human being from the Yishuv sees it as a disgrace.
