Right-left correlation kidnapped
Peace and blessings
For a long time now, I have been trying to understand the strange correlation of the right – against the hostage deal, the left – in favor of the deal.
What does this even have to do with?
The obvious facts are that rescuing the hostages will likely come at a certain price in blood. Why is the right not willing to pay it and the left is? What’s the connection?
You probably have a solid understanding of the matter, and I would be happy if you could share it with me.

Thank you.
What you write is extremely strange.
It would be fine if it were about ‘national honor’, ‘national pride’, and the like
But this is about security considerations, and a bloody price that will probably be paid in the future, which will also be paid by ‘individuals’
The fact that those individuals are ‘part of the whole’ cancels out their being simultaneously also ‘individuals’ who also have the right to live here?
I can't understand you.’
The future price is uncertain (maybe they will be hurt or not, and who will be hurt. It should be remembered that the October 7 attack was our fault and because of our mistake), and the present price is certain (if we do not rescue the hostages, they will die or be held captive for the rest of their lives). Therefore, from an individual perspective, there is no clear price here, and no doubt outweighs certainty. From a collective perspective, there is damage (a current threat) to the public. In other words: it is currently unclear who will be hurt, even if there will be some who will be hurt. From an individual perspective, everyone takes on the risk that they may not be hurt. From a collective perspective, it is clear that some of the public will be hurt, and it is certain that the public is not willing to take on this.
