Sabbath

asked 1 year ago

Hello, I don’t know what framework this question falls into, maybe it’s off-topic.
I forgot to cut the foil before Shabbat with which I cover the dish in a disposable pan on the griddle. Would it be permissible to take the roll itself and roll it in such a way that it covers the dish and thus I can cover the dish without cutting it?

Simply put, it is not a tool whose function is forbidden, but rather a real muktaza, and therefore it is forbidden even for its own use.

According to this, is toilet paper also permissible on Shabbat?

Yes. It is true that it should be discussed because in times of need it is permissible to cut out of respect for human dignity and therefore it deserves something. But I tend to think that it is still allocated. In paper money, this does not exist, of course.
