Secular cooking on Shabbat

שו”תCategory: HalachaSecular cooking on Shabbat
asked 6 years ago

To the honorable Rabbi, Shalom Rabbi,
It is said, according to Rabbi Meir, “He who cooks on Shabbat by mistake may eat it; he who cooks on Shabbat by intention may not eat it” (Shabbat 38:1).
Some have defined secularism as a mistake for the entire Torah.
According to Rabbi Meir, if a secular person commits a sin, is it permissible to eat from his cooking on Shabbat on Shabbat itself? Does it make sense to rule in this way according to the law? If not, why not?
Thank you very much,
Ofir

Why not? He is indeed mistaken at most (in my opinion he is usually a coward).
If he does it for me, that’s a different story, of course.
