As a physicist who deals with matters of faith but on the other hand disdains the Bible as a source of information (law, morality, outlook, science, etc.), I think you should read the book, which was also written by a physicist who certainly does see the Bible as a source of information for all of the above, and at the very least deals honestly with difficulties of one kind or another.
