In the series of lessons on faith, you said that God, by definition, is someone who tells you to do whatever he tells you to do regardless of whether it’s true, and anyone who asks why you should do what God says doesn’t understand what God is.
But in the trilogy you did give a reason for religious obligation – philosophical gratitude, meaning that God has rights over me because he created me and by virtue of them I must obey his command.

In other words: the fact that He created me and the world is what makes Him God (one must listen to His voice).
