peace. One of your explanations for why infinite regression is unacceptable is that it is not an explanation. But as I understand it, the argument is supposed to draw a conclusion from the premises without checking whether the conclusion explains anything.
This is also why you rejected the argument against faith that says God doesn’t really explain the world to us.

There is no connection between the two. When they say that God does not explain the world (whatever the meaning of this sentence may be), it is irrelevant to the argument that proves its existence. When there are footprints in the sand, this is proof that a creature passed through here, even if I do not know what it is and what it is. If there is a complex world, this proves that there is a God who created it, even if I know nothing about it.
But regression offers an explanation (where the world came from) and not a proof. And there is no explanation here.
