The incident with the priest who waved bread

Hello Rabbi!
Sorry if this sounds like a provocative question, but I would love to hear what the rabbi thinks about the priest who waved bread on the Temple Mount on Shavuot? Did he do good to the people or only harm them? If he had gone to consult with the rabbi first, what would you have told him?
