The question of the swallow and the prince.
Hello Rabbi.
Regarding the question of why the lead bird’s heart was broken, apart from the fact that it is a literary play on words that the cold is not physical but mental (or in an unclear way both), in my opinion, on a philosophical level, the poet intended to say that the true perception of reality is how humans perceive it, not material nature. That is, the moment the bird died from the winter, then its heart was truly broken, because it was truly cold at that time because it affected the psychological state, and it is not for nothing that the forces of darkness are likened to cold and darkness, and the forces of good to light and heat.
