Hello Rabbi,
Does international law have binding force? Or is it because it is not seriously enforced that it has no force?

In principle, international law is valid, just like the Dina Damalkota. If this is the consent of humanity, then it binds all of humanity. It does seem that there is selective enforcement and mainly power speaks, so I really think there is no real obligation here.

Since when am I obligated to something that all of humanity has decided on? Even if all of humanity unites, once I am a people and a sovereign, I see no obligation in principle to listen to them. Unlike a private individual born into a public, I, as a people, am not part of a public called humanity, at least not by default. If I joined them, that's a different story. At least that's how it seems to me.
