Hello Rabbi, I wanted to ask about assumptions. Is it correct to say that an assumption is a logical conclusion that stems from certain assumptions? And if I claim that an assumption is true or false, is that a statement about the assumptions it makes?

not. An explanation can be the premise itself. On the contrary, it is usually the premise and not the conclusion, since the conclusion logically follows from the premise.
