Due to your endless literature, I have to ask – what is your most basic/recommended book for reading? Assuming I am not familiar with your teachings.
thanks

Hello Yohai. It’s hard for me to answer. It depends on what interests you. There is philosophy, and there is halacha, and meta-halacha, and the virtues of preaching, and there is Talmudic logic.

In the field of philosophy and meta-halakhah.

You can start with the quartet, starting with two carts and a hot air balloon. That's the philosophical foundation. Truly and Unstable is presented in a slightly different way, but the basic line is similar.

As someone who has read all of Rabbi Shalit”a's books (except the books on the English sermon) – I recommend ‘Two Carts and a Hot Air Balloon’, turn it upside down and turn it upside down, you're stuck in it! Simply a treasure trove! Life is divided into two parts, until you read ‘Two Carts’ and after you read ‘Two Carts’…

On this occasion, I will comment on the impatient wait for the new books on religious theology…

Thank you. Do you mean Talmudic logic books? They are in Hebrew (they were just published in London, and at the end of each one there is an article in English).

חיים replied 8 years ago

Yes, you're right. For some reason I remembered they were in English (maybe because of the cover), and then I remembered again that I had read one volume (it may have been about time).

I too join in the life. As someone who has read all of the rabbi's books, the Quartet is a momentous work that changed my life. Abundant and full of quality content, one reading (more precisely, study, these are not reading books, but books that require concentration and perusal) is not enough to exhaust the great wealth inherent in them.
In terms of style, after complex philosophical (and even mathematical) issues are presented in such a clear and understandable way for the lay reader, I have difficulty when I read non-fiction books by other authors, who have difficulty in flowing and making things accessible as is done in the Quartet.

Thank you very much, friends. I am very happy to hear that my books are useful. Chen Chen.
