Michi-bot

Meet the Michi-bot (Beta version) – A wise assistant on the writings of Rabbi Michael Avraham

What is this?
Michi-Bot is a conversation bot that learns from Rabbi Michael Avraham's comprehensive content, and helps find, summarize, and cross-reference ideas from his writings — quickly and in simple language.

What is in the knowledge base?

  • All posts and articles that appear on the site.
  • All the books of Rabbi Michael Avraham.
  • There is online access to the RSV.

Technical recommendation (important):

  • It is highly recommended to work with the GPT-5 Thinking model for the best answers. Fast models like the regular GPT-5 have difficulty handling the large volume of material.
  • If the "Get a quick answer" option appears, it is best not to select it to allow the thinking process to complete its normal course.
  • Currently, OpenAI does not support the GPT-5 Thinking model in the mobile app, so those who log in via mobile must log in via the mobile's regular browser to Chatgpt.com, select the GPTs option, and search for the bot called "Michi-Bot" there. Below is a link toVideo tutorial for connecting from mobile.
  • Anyone who has difficulty connecting or configuring a specific model for the bot is welcome to contact the email listed below for support.

How to get more out of it:

  • Write focused questions and ask for references to sources.
  • It is possible (and recommended) to continue the conversation—asking clarifications/follow-up questions; this improves the answers.
  • You can request an exact quote + a link to the article/book where the idea appears.
  • One can ask for a comparison between his positions in different columns or throughout books.

Important clarifications:

  1. The response is not the rabbi's “official position.” This is a computer reconstruction made by a large language model from all of his writings, and not a direct quote or reference by the rabbi.
  2. A law should not be ruled on the basis of the bot's answers. Beyond the risk of inaccuracy, the bot is not trained on the rabbinic halachic rulings but mainly on the theoretical-philosophical materials. For halachic questions, one should contact a qualified rabbi.

For comments/comments/suggestions about the bot, you can send an email to orenmarg@gmail.com.

Good luck, and fruitful use!

I will add here a big thank you toShmuel Gabay for the initiative and to him and Oren Margalit for the execution.
