The building of the Temple in our time
Does the Rabbi think that God expects us to build the Temple as quickly as possible, and if we are lazy, do we deserve a rebuke like during the holidays, or should we wait for the Messiah/the return of prophecy/some sign from heaven?

This is a mitzvah like any other mitzvah, and to claim that one must wait for heaven, one needs a source. I do not know of a source that says that this mitzvah is null and void at any stage. Of course, the mitzvah is imposed on the entire public and not on any particular individual, and circumstances do not necessarily allow this for many reasons (common sense).
