Aid in Lebanon
Is the State of Israel’s offer of assistance to the Lebanese government moral? Or should we not help our enemies?

Why psychic?
And what is the rationale for saying that it is mandatory? Sounds a bit far-fetched.
He is psychotic because he rejoices over the death of innocent people (even if they are citizens of an enemy country). Especially in Lebanon, where neither the citizens nor the government have control over what is happening. I don't see what needs explaining here. Isn't that obvious?
The duty is to help people not to die. What's the question? If the aid were to endanger us – so be it. But that's not the case.
He's not happy that they died, but it's better that the warehouse explodes there and not on us. That's all. And it's completely legitimate, there's no need to go to extremes unnecessarily.
Indeed, you don't need to. You just have to direct this to Feiglin:
“If it's us, and I hope it's us, then we should be proud of it, and create a balance sheet of horror”.
In the future, it's worth reading the article as well, not just the headline.
Well, what he means is that it's good that we destroyed a missile depot that would later explode on our citizens. Sad for the citizens who died, but even sadder if it had been sent to Israel.
Every person has virtues and vices.
When it comes to the LGBT community or Jewish masochism, Miki behaves like the last of the Pinchas. It is unnecessary to even argue with him.
(In this too, a mosquito preceded him, isn't he Aharon Barak, in ruling against torture. As Mishael Cheshin put it, "He (Barak) prefers that 50 people die, the main thing is that the human rights of the killer be preserved."
“Look how quickly the mayor of Tel Aviv lost the distinction between the private and the national level and announced the lighting of the city hall with the national flag of Lebanon. No less. Huldai did not ask to put up pictures of the private victims but the flag of the state of Lebanon”.
Smotrich: https://www.inn.co.il/News/News.aspx/446111
Because he didn't really mean joy in the sense that you think I think he meant
He came to distinguish between what is called Christian morality and the Western morality that regrets and cries over the death of Job. And doesn't take into account that you yourself could be hurt. Such morality blurs the distinction that exists between your neighbor and a stranger and between your neighbor and a person who belongs on the side of the street. And it ends up blurring the healthy differences that the Torah makes between concern first and foremost for relatives. For family and community. For your people. And between the concern that should come only later for others. And with limited concern for Job. I am sure that Feiglin. Out of his deep faith in the form of Israel. regrets every private. personal. innocent creature that was lost. Ask him and he will confirm my words
Is Western-Christian morality that of Tolstoy, who advocated universal love and strongly opposed all forms of violence, or is it that of Tasso, who considered Christians to be messengers of God fighting against the Muslims, the children of Satan, or perhaps that of Aeschylus, who sympathized with the suffering of the Persians while presenting them as an inferior nation, or perhaps it is Kant's "eternal peace"?
Beloved is Adam, who was created in the image of God. Beloved are the Israelites, who were called sons of God. Rabbi Reines explained: "For all people were created in the image of God, and this is a sign that people will finally unite in their opinions. However, the Children of Israel are most excellent, and until the foundations of pure faith have spread throughout the world, only they are called sons of the place, by the bond and connection that exists between them, and this connection comes only through the Torah, all of whose paths are peace and brotherhood. Seek peace in your own place and pursue it elsewhere.
Shalom Rabbi!
If there were indeed missiles aimed at us, wouldn't it have been appropriate to bomb there? Wouldn't it have been worthwhile to be proud of that and create a balance of terror?
Thank you very much!
On the 16th of Av, 2016
To Simcha, my dear,
It must be assumed that if there was a cache of missiles and weapons aimed at us, the IDF would have known how to handle and neutralize them without harming thousands of civilians,
Therefore, it does not appear that the explosion was caused by the IDF, and it was probably negligence on the part of Hezbollah, which embroiled them and incited the entire Lebanese people against them.
What Feiglin could have done with his jubilation and his hints, as thick as a log, that Israel had a hand in the explosion, was to remove the blame from Hezbollah and place it on us, and in simple words: put the State of Israel in trouble and rescue Hezbollah from that trouble.
Is that what you are interested in?
Best regards, Sh”t
Hello!
In fact, I did not establish any fact, I only asked a question. I do not know who bombed there, if at all, and I also believe that apparently it was not Israel. No one in Israel has the courage to do such a thing, even if it was what was morally right to do. My question was whether it would not have been right to bomb there if there were indeed missiles there, and of course if bombing is the only option.
In addition, in my opinion, if as a country you think that another country should be bombed, you should be proud of it in your heart, and many times it is also worth declaring it to show your enemies your strength and determination to protect your people.
If Hezbollah had an interest in saying that it was Israel, I believe he would have said so, whether Feiglin implied his words or not. It turns out that Hezbollah prefers to say that there were no weapons there, but a random accumulation of innocent chemical substances. I am sure that even if another country bombed there, Hezbollah would still suffer a severe blow to the legitimacy that the people there give it. In the end, he was the one who got them involved in this matter, and it really doesn't matter whether it was by inviting other forces to fight them and bomb them or by mistake because they didn't know how to maintain their weapons.
Best regards.

Oriental scholar Dr. Mordechai Kedar (‘What Really Happened at the Port of Beirut’, on the ‘Channel 7’ website) does not trust the official Lebanese version that talks about an explosion of ‘ammonia’. In his opinion, this is about missile fuel, ammunition and explosives that were imported from Iran for Hezbollah, and their improper storage led to the explosion.
They were blamed on the terrorists: King Solomon's words ‘a digger who digs will fall’. In Dr. Kedar's opinion, the Iranians also see Nasrallah as directly responsible, and he expects him to be removed soon ‘for health reasons’ And so on.
With the blessing of Shabbat Teva, Shabbat
And Kader's area of expertise is relevant to this hypothesis because?
To T’ – Shalom Rav
In addition to being a doctor of oriental studies specializing in Israel's enemies, he served for about 20 years in the IDF and was discharged with the rank of lieutenant colonel. In any case, read his detailed reasons in the article and you will be impressed for yourself. He describes that there were three explosions one after the other in different colors, and therefore he assumes that the event began with rocket fuel vapors that led to an explosion that caused the explosion of nearby ammunition and explosives warehouses.
Combat Engineering Officer Capt. (ret.) Moshe Feiglin also speaks of a large amount of explosives that led to the massive explosion. Kedar only adds the point of rocket fuel vapors starting the chain reaction, and I assume that he consulted with experts in the field of sabotage who are familiar to him from his past in the IDF and so on.
Best regards, Sh”ts
Dr. Kedar's ancestors were involved in copper work, apparently from his original family name ‘Kupferschmidt’, and perhaps his ancestors' legacy helps him understand flammable and explosive materials 🙂
The possibilities of these being war explosives or an Israeli attack have been rising (worldwide) more or less at the same rate as the mushroom there. I read the article and there is no use in it for familiarity with Arab culture, Arab history, Islam, or an intelligence matter that requires a broad perspective. It seems like just speculation (definitely possible, but we haven't gotten out of the category of speculation of the kind sold in bastas by weight). I personally have a lot of respect for the bastards of Hezbollah, unlike some of our other dear enemies, and it's hard for me to believe that in something critical under their responsibility they were so negligent. Although I certainly hope that they are truly guilty (or that they will be accused of lying, which is even nicer for me) and perhaps they will weaken this successful and hated octagonal organization.
You hinted at me and I hinted
I made a mistake (it was a mistake) in spelling the name of Dr. Mordechai Keider. May God preserve him and revive him.
On the 16th of Av, 5771
To you, dear Rabbi,
Indeed, the Bible spells ‘Kedar’ with a missing spelling. Today, it is customary to use a missing spelling to mark the movement of the ’Ziri’ by using a ‘Yud’ between the ’Kof’ and the ’Del’. You used the missing biblical spelling ‘Kedar’.
Best regards, Sh”t
By the way, he probably intended to indicate his professional occupation in Arabic by changing his name to Bnei Kedar (apart from the sound similar to ’Kupferschmidt’).
By the way, Bnei Avichai also did the same, who changed his name on my advice, from ’Lewinger’ to ’Lavi’, which is similar in both sound and meaning, since the name ”Lewinger’ originates from ’Lau’ which is ‘lion’ in German.
Paragraph 1, line 1
… in the spelling there is no punctuation mark…
A similar process of ‘Yod’ marking ‘Ziri’ happened to the Canaanite city ‘Beerut’ which became ’Beyrut’ (i.e. Beyrut). The ’Hulm’ became ’Shuruk’ probably because there is no ‘Hulm’ in Arabic (Arabic has only three vowels: Fatah, Hirik and Shuruk).
Best regards, Sh”Z
Nice advice
What is the idea behind a guard pass or a pen name that hints at something in some subtle way? I've sampled answers from several people and my tired mind still hasn't rested.
On the 16th of Av 5771
Lt’ – Shalom Rav,
The Hebrewization of the family name was done out of an ideology that strives to use a Hebrew name. Why should we be called by German, Slavic, Arab or Sephardic names, etc., all of which are peoples who hated and persecuted us to the bitter end. It is better for us to adopt a Hebrew name from our origins.
Sometimes the Hebrewization stems from a prosaic reason (dentalological 🙂 – a desire not to break one's teeth. For example, Rabbi Menachem Posbetanyansky, a Neville man who was one of the founders of Herzliya, changed his Russian name from the word for broken teeth, to ’Uriali’, because the matter of ‘Posbetanyansky’ In Russian, it is related to ’Or’.
Since the transliterator also wants to express in his name the connection to his immediate family, his father, grandfather, uncles, etc., whom he is proud of and his connection to them – therefore he chooses a name that recalls his original family name.
For example, the sons of Rabbi Natan Milikovsky, who was one of the leaders of the Revisionist movement, wanted to preserve in their transliterated name the memory of their revered father. So one transliterated to ’Netanyahu’, keeping his father's first name, while our brother transliterated to ’Milo’, which is similar in sound to his grandfather's family name.
With greetings, Sh”t
During the days of Ben-Gurion and after, transliteration was imposed on senior officers and members of the diplomatic service. I think the first chief of staff who was allowed to keep his foreign name was Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, who was certainly proud of his lineage to the founder of the Mussar movement, and since then the "strip" has been completely loosened, and "Ganz" and "Azenkut" have come, who have kept their foreign names.
Although I said about "Annakut" that it is a "Hebrew" name; "Azen" [=Weapon] ‘Kut’, which must be the order of the Messiah King to the commander of his army to beat his weapon into spades (Azan’ is a ‘weapon’, as evidenced by the verse: ‘And a peg shall be upon your ear’ and a ‘on the instrument of your zin’. I was very disappointed when Gadi Azenkot ended his term without receiving the order ‘Azan Kut’ 🙂
In short: From Beirut we have been reincarnated into Hebron 🙂
And if we are to be successful, we will recommend that Nasrallah be renamed Hebron to Nasr Ella 🙂
With blessings, a beautiful name
I understand the Hebrew (today mainly convenience, once also a matter of national renewal and a melting pot), about the preservation (in family names) and the veiled allusion (in pen names) I wonder. “Preservation” “Relationship” is reasonable as a description of what they think, but it is difficult for me to understand it as anything more than a casual gimmick. What amused me especially was the matter with Eznakot. It also reminded me that in this verse there was a (relatively rare) error in the source citation in the notebook of Menachem (son of the editor of the lamp!). Menachem wrote in the root of Zn “And the prostitutes washed (M”A 22:36), about your ears (Ezekiel 16:12) according to their subject it seems that weapons of war and chariot weapons are the most”. And I read it and I don't understand because what is the point of the verse in Ezekiel that deals with earrings for weapons of war at all? But the sources indicate that when he saw that it was written “your ears” with Y’ (so is the manuscript displayed on the British Library website), Kinkardentz himself immediately knew and noted it for Ezekiel, while of course Menachem intended the verse that you brought ‘and a peg shall be in your ears’ (without Y’). I once collected several examples of different types of mistakes for scholars who relied on repositories (especially many with Shaavel), but later I realized that it is also rather praiseworthy that they did not waste their lives remembering things that are of no importance to their memory and that it is not important at all if there is such a minor error.
I pointed out an oversight to someone else, and along the way I was reminded that the person pointing it out was not the son of the one who lit the lamp, but his student. Like a heavy rain that falls on the mountains of Zion.
Before the establishment of the state, the agency's representative in one of the Latin American countries was Mr. Beno Weiser. With the establishment of the state, Beno Weiser was called to Israel, and the heads of state were promised that within a few months Beno Weiser would return to them as the ambassador of the State of Israel.
However, before his appointment as ambassador, Ben-Gurion demanded that Beno Weiser change his name to a Hebrew name. He was not helped by the argument of his friend Prof. Ephraim Orbach that Beno Weiser was his son, and Weiser was also a Hebrew word, as it is written: Beno Weiser was on the surface of the water, and Beno Weiser was the son of Benjamin and Ron. (Named after a biblical city).
And here the heads of state in Latin America receive a telegram: ‘Tomorrow the Israeli ambassador Senior Binyamin Veron’ will arrive to you’ and immediately they cry out: ‘Didn't you promise us that ’Ben Weiser’ would be the ambassador?’. Go explain to them that ’Ben Weiser’ was ’Ben Weiser’ to ’Ben Weiser’ 🙂
With best wishes, Shimshon Gil-Ron
9,
Your words are clear. And this is exactly how Rabbi Yonah Ibn Janach and Radek interpreted it.
And perhaps the meaning of the ’peg on your ears’ is the mask that sticks to the ears and prevents the corona viruses in the air and saliva coming out of the person's mouth and nose from contaminating the camp’
And so the ’rephaim’ who are careful to maintain medicine, some of whom were called ‘terrible’ for terrorizing the public and threatening a general lockdown, but the most correct of them were called ‘zumuzim’ because they had the name Zum on their faces, and were careful not to communicate remotely except through ‘Zumuzim’ only.
On the other hand, the perverted ones, although they were careful not to gather in their homes but in the courtyards, but did not observe social distancing and wearing masks, were harmed by the corona virus, which resembles small buttons coming out of a large button.
May we follow in the footsteps of the buzzing doctors, the sky is shining on their faces and they communicate on Zoom, and thanks to them, our Roni Gamzo will be held for good:
(With blessings, social distancing and salvation, a mask and a capsule, Sh.
The popular distinction today between the state (which is in fact our enemy) and its citizens is nothing more than an illusion. The state is the sum of its citizens. For example, why should I feel sorry for the citizens of Gaza who chose Hamas, who shoots us?
I would expect from such logic that in two weeks, when there may be mass morbidity in Belz and perhaps worse, the Tel Aviv municipality will be painted in the shape of a shtreimel
It seems that something is really wrong with Rabbi Michi. His words are simply alarming nonsense. What kind of strange division is this between the government (Hezbollah sits in the Lebanese parliament) and the "civilians"? Who cares that this government is undesirable in their eyes? Should we have helped the Iraqi population under Saddam Hussein's rule because his rule was based on terror and fear? Couldn't we have fired missiles back at Iraq because the "civilians" were not involved (?)? What kind of nonsense is this? Rabbi Michi, what is wrong with you? What kind of mental illness is this? Who exactly is the psycho here? It seems that the word "citizen" means in leftist terms "sacred" - someone who is not allowed to touch and is not involved in anything of the community to which he belongs. A leftist hears the word “citizen” and a halo of holiness is smeared and spelled out on his face. They are simply in love with the word procedural. They serve the God of democracy (there is no people. There is democracy. It is the important thing. A system of government) and the believers are the citizens. They deal all their days with empty forms of government and patterns (laws and procedures). Righteous. Rabbi Mikhi, are you one of these? Who cares about this nonsense? The only question is whether Lebanon is an enemy state. And the answer. Of course. Yes
By the way, although this is not about aid, this is a good example of why the idea of helping them is infantile
(I don't understand at all. After all, at best they are indifferent to our fate. Why would we help those who are indifferent to our fate?):
https://www.kipa.co.il/%D7%97%D7%93%D7%A9%D7%95%D7%AA/1097191-%D7%94%D7%9C%D7%91%D7%A0%D7%95%D7%A0%D7%99%D7%9D-%D7%A0%D7%92%D7%93-%D7%94%D7%9E%D7%97%D7%95%D7%95%D7%94-% D7%A9%D7%9C-%D7%A2%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%99%D7%99%D7%AA-%D7%AA%D7%9C-%D7%90%D7%91%D7%99%D7%91 -%D7%A6%D7%91%D7%99%D7%A2%D7%95%D7%AA-%D7%94%D7%99%D7%A9%D7%A8%D7%90%D7%9C%D7%99%D7%AA/
For many years, Lebanon has not been a sovereign state, but rather an arena of conflict between different ethnic groups, and a straggling sphere of Syria, Israel, and Iran. Although for many years Israel has had security demands from Lebanon that have not been met,
On the contrary, it is possible to distinguish between the persecutors (Hezbollah) and the persecuted (helpless Lebanese), and then there is a point in providing aid that strengthens the persecuted.
This is not aid to the persecuted but to innocent people who are suffering greatly. You are talking about military aid to overcome persecution and the discussion here is humanitarian aid.
The foolish claims raised here with such great determination are not really worth answering. They are riddled with both logical and moral fallacies, and mix gender with non-gender, so I see no point in addressing them.
It is worth reading Moshe Feiglin's words here.
https://www.facebook.com/230709873674802/posts/3238328046246288/
To Judah
Lebanon is a country. And its residents have a collective responsibility towards everyone outside of them. The number of ethnic groups and the conflicts between them is their internal matter. Syria is also a mixture of three ethnic groups. In a certain sense, all Arab countries are like that. After all, they are an artificial creation of the division of the Ottoman Empire between France and Britain and the independence granted to the Arabs who were ruled under them. This is also the reason why all the regimes there are dictatorial (beyond the fact that they are not developed enough for a democratic culture). Only terror and fear manage to impose order there. And they are also at peace with this way of life and are happy with it (I have even heard Chinese people claim that democracy is not for them. As Arabs). Only leaders of the kind who impose a threat do they respect. Alpha males. Like wolves in a pack.
Arab culture here in Israel also reaches the level of the village and the clan and they fight each other until it comes to the Jews and then they unite to fight us (oh, they have benefits from us). And until it comes to independence for the Palestinian people who need a state and become a people. I see no difference between them and Lebanon. Maronites, Shiites, Sunnis, Christians. They are all Arabs who live in the same state and have collective responsibility (being a state) regarding what happens within the territory of their state. It's the same as in Gaza. There is no difference between responding to rocket fire from Gaza by firing rockets into Gaza and helping people there. You don't help the enemy (humanitarian aid or not). And certainly not a barbaric enemy. Anyone who doesn't understand this is clueless.
Rabbi Miki can say the word "idiot" (what nonsense. The only question here is whether they are enemies or not. No stupidity belongs here) until the day after tomorrow, but it won't help him. He thinks that if he says a few magic words it should convince someone. So good luck to him. These people are not innocent. They are barbarians and they hate us and helping them is stupidity. I can't understand such blindness at all. As if we didn't learn anything from the Holocaust. No one will take care of us if we don't take care of ourselves. And helping enemies is already beyond human understanding. And even more so for the bloodthirsty, barbaric, inhumane Arabs.
I don't see Rabbi Michi or any other leftist in any position to preach morality to me or anyone else. If there is one saying in the Sages that can really be felt to be true even today, it is "He who shows mercy to the cruel will end up being cruel to the merciful." Usually, you can see that leftists of the type who preach morality are not good people, full of bitterness, rage, and hatred of man. See Leibowitz's entry. Who preached morality to the whole world but had his own Nazi character. Not someone who will pick you up in a hitchhike if you forget in a godforsaken place. But will let you die on the side of the road. Many of these lovers of humanity are usually simply secret haters of Israel (in my case it is completely obvious) and that's it. At best it is simply a lack of self-awareness.
If someone wouldn't help me if I was in trouble (and would probably hand out candy), I won't help them (although I won't hand out candy).
Hillel says: Be one of Aaron's disciples, a lover of peace, a pursuer of peace, a lover of people and a bringer of them to the Torah. In order to love people, it is necessary to pursue peace, and in order to pursue peace it is necessary to love peace, and in order to love peace, it is necessary first of all to treat each and every person as an individual and to remember that every person is created in his own image. This is how the elder Hillel would treat both every person from Israel and every non-Israelite. Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace.
And now let philosophers come and organize a moral theory that agrees with this basic premise. If any other conclusion is derived from their theory, let them have the honor of tucking it away in a place where gentlemen do not mention its name in public.

Is this intended to be used against us?
“Sure, this material is the most readily available material for semi-military and terrorist organizations to obtain the detonators. This is material that was supposed to be used against us in the Third Lebanon War, that's clear. Who holds such quantities of explosives? Hezbollah has a history with this material, they've been looking for it around the world since 2011 from all sorts of collapsing countries.
Yehuda
Just to convince you how stupid your words about Lebanon are. Think about the Jewish State of Israel. After all, it too consists of four tribes (Sefardis, religious Haredim and secular Ashkenazim (leftists)). They are also based on an internal war. According to some of them, the government is corrupt. Let's say tomorrow Bibi decides to launch missiles at Egypt. And Egypt will respond with missiles back at Israel (to Tel Aviv, for example). Will you hear the left making claims to the Egyptians that they will attack only the army or only the residents of the Haredi and Sephardim cities? Or alternatively, will you see them making claims to Bibi (as usual) and justifying the Egyptian response? For some reason, all the (il)logic of Zem disappears when it comes to Jews. So for some reason, logic comes back into play. This inconsistency is at the root of the leftist mental illness (which even Rabbi Michi seems to suffer from). Or alternatively, the left is simply an Israel hater in disguise like the rest of humanity. And that's another option I prefer.
And the truth is that the material that exploded belonged to Hezbollah, funded by Iran, and thank God it didn't explode on our heads.
The sorrow for the dead and injured is true, but the great joy for the great miracle that happened to us as well. https://www.inn.co.il/News/News.aspx/447699
