Hello!
I watched your series of lectures on YouTube on mysticism. At the same time, I had the opportunity to read Yeshayahu Leibowitz’s article “Psychology – Science?”.
I noticed a similarity in your definition of the relationship between mysticism and science to the relationship that Leibowitz defines between psychology and science. I will provide a partial quote.
A scientific question – in contrast to many weighty and significant questions that are not scientific – can be asked only about something that belongs to the public domain of examination, testing, and recognition; in other words – only about that to which research access is equally open to every person of sufficient intelligence, in contrast to something that cannot be revealed and known except to its possessors or to virtuous individuals, such as things of intuitive or mystical cognition; in a third way – only about things that those who deal with them may find themselves in communication with each other on the basis of equal possibilities of cognition.”
Does the rabbi also find the similarity, and can it actually be said that in this sense psychology is closer to mysticism and philosophy?

There is certainly a similarity. See Torrey on psychology.
