A true duelist
Hello Rabbi,
As I understand it, the dispute between materialists and idealists is who creates whom. Does consciousness create material reality or does matter create conscious reality?
It seems that their main disagreement is about what is more real, dreams that exist only in consciousness, or a planet in a galaxy that no one has ever seen. According to materialism, the planet is more real, while according to idealism, dreams are more real.
Although, there is the dualistic approach in which both consciousness and matter exist in themselves. Since I see myself as a dualist (and it seems to me that the rabbi is one too), I want to ask, what should be the attitude of a dualist towards dreams and imaginations in relation to planets? Which is more real, are both equally real?

My point about what is more real is who creates who. As a dualist, should I see dreams and planets as existing on their own, or is one of them created by another factor (from consciousness or matter)?
Also, it seems to me that something created by another factor should be given less importance.
I don't understand what it means that matter/objects are created by consciousness? Consciousness brings their existence to my attention. But it doesn't mean that consciousness creates objects in the world.
