It seems to me that you understand well what pride is. If you have a specific question, be respectful and formulate it. It is a bad quality for two main reasons: 1. The falseness of the matter. You are overwhelmed by yourself and full of yourself. You have nothing to be proud of in things that you did not achieve, but skills that you were born with, etc. You are certainly entitled to be proud of the things that you did achieve. An eighth of an eighth of a wise scholar. 2. The problematic results. Pride leads to disdain for other people.
Is that the only drawback to pride? Maybe there is a drawback to pride itself, which is that it is obscene – according to your terminology – it is a negative value
Maybe if values are abstract concepts then there are only positive values?
