A tweet was left in a synagogue.
Based on what halacha is it permissible for a collector to deposit equipment that was forgotten in a synagogue?
Based on what I have seen, they write that there is a lot of advertising that equipment is brought into a synagogue because of this, but if I am strict then I am not willing to accept the condition, and if so, on what basis are my buyers abandoned and where does the commandment of Shabbat Avidah fall?

It is common today that once every few months the collectors take all the equipment left in a synagogue and donate it or whatever. But this equipment belongs to the people and there is a commandment to return lost property - on what basis do they allow the very act of not returning the equipment to its owner?
If people are told to pick up their equipment and they don't come, then they have given up. The synagogue doesn't have to guard their belongings when they are negligent. And that's even when there is a sign.
