Bar Hi

asked 2 years ago

How much Torah do you need to know to be considered a bar-hi? (I saw that you wrote in the book that for you, common sense and knowledge of the world contribute more to greatness in Torah than proficiency) and does it depend on age? (I am 18 years old)

Age is not a criterion. But of course, with age comes wisdom. Just because there are things that contribute to greatness in Torah does not mean that knowledge is not a relevant parameter. There are no objective and unambiguous criteria here.
