What should a man do if his wife has a husband’s wife’s disease and a divorced woman’s disease, and she has reached the mitzvah of her ordination?
Is the law based on a positive commandment that rejects an negative commandment?

It seems to me that he will not comply, since from the moment he sets his eyes on the divorced woman, she is the divorced woman of the heart and he is forbidden to have relations with her and certainly there is no obligation to respond.

It depends on the different Rishonim's methods. Some Rishonim see it as the moment he sets his eyes on the divorced woman, she returns to being like her fiancé. See the article Mida Tovah, for the parashah Ki Titze, Tashsaz.
