Pros and cons of closing the corporation
On the one hand, the libertarian argument (quite inconsistent, to be honest) of “Why should I fund this?”
On the other hand, this is a body that has produced a lot of great content (Jews Are Coming, Closing Time, First Cash, high-level real-time investigations). And in addition, the fact that of all the things that need to be cut, this is the one that is being cut shows that perhaps the goals are not economic but more political.
What do you think, should it be closed or not?

This is not an attempt to silence criticism, as if there are talented people there who probably bother many people in the government (Shaul Amsterdamsky)
It's clear that this is an attempt to silence. Anyone who is bothered by budget waste doesn't open the office of toasters and other kinds of vegetables.
But this is what we have, and with this we will win?!
It has nothing to do with the question of motives. The question was whether the step itself was legitimate. Two independent questions.
