Paying taxes that are directed towards things against the Torah
Hello,
If a person raises taxes on the grounds that the taxes are partly directed to fund things against the Torah, such as mass desecration of the Sabbath, etc.
Is his claim valid? If not, I’d love to hear why not.
thanks
You didn’t specify what the claim is? That he is not allowed to pay? So he will not benefit from state services either.
Yossi, according to this logic, leftists will not pay taxes because it funds settlements. Rightists will not pay taxes because it funds charitable activities and so on. This country is not a program as you request.
Not clear.
This is exactly the definition of a tax - taking money from you for a cause you don't believe in/oppose.
Not exactly. People wouldn't pay for causes they identify with either. Beyond that, there's a difference between causes they don't identify with and forbidden causes.
