Why is there no permanent revelation to clarify halachic doubts?

I assume the rabbi has already answered this question, but I couldn’t find it. Forgive me.
If it is philosophically clear that God revealed to us His halakhic will at Mount Sinai, why was this revelation a one-time event and not a continuous one? Why doesn’t God maintain a continuous connection with us and reveal His will to us in every doubt [through prophecy / Urim and Tomitim / the Holy Spirit or any mechanism at our disposal]?

It seems reasonable that God, who desires the existence of religious values, will reveal them to us at every stage and in every doubt and doubt. Isn’t that right?

Until we had a prophecy, which I could assume would be its function, the sages came and said that a prophet is not permitted to innovate in the law by virtue of his prophecy…

I don’t know. It is possible that in his eyes there is value in autonomous interpretation and formulation of a position, even at the cost of mistakes. As I wrote in my article on autonomy and authority regarding an individual (which I wrote about autonomous decision-making in halakhic law, even at the cost of error).
