Studying Gemara on the couch

שו”תCategory: generalStudying Gemara on the couch
asked 3 months ago

Hello Rabbi

Is it permissible to study Torah on the couch? And what about studying lying down? Sometimes it’s more comfortable for me to study like that than sitting in front of a table. On the other hand, it’s studying the Word of God and prayer, so don’t do it that way because it’s considered disrespectful. Thank you, Yair

What about the morning prayer while lying down. The prayer on the bed, some even say it is necessary?
The blessing of food after the meal while standing. What about lying down?

What about tefillin while lying down for someone who is weak?

What's the point of all this barrage of questions? Are you writing a book on the laws of lying down? Or are you going to live lying down in the coming days?
