Can a sick/injured person attribute the reason for his survival to a divine power that watches over and provides, or is this a false feeling (and everything works according to the laws of nature, genetics, free choice, etc.)?
(I would be happy to refer you if you have indeed discussed the subject.)

In my opinion, there is no basis for this. Even if there is no medical explanation, there are phenomena of spontaneous healing, error in diagnosis, etc. I don’t see what to write about it. It’s simple.
