Does Saint B’B know me?
I am interested in the question of whether God knows me and will reward me for my good deeds. Does the Rabbi know a philosophical approach to the issue?
I didn’t understand the question. Do you want me to introduce you two? 🙂
Ahhh… I would like…
The question is whether there is a reference to the subject, maybe we should call it ”providence”
Do you also get a quintal?
Ariel, are you looking for references to providence? The literature on Jewish thought (which I'm not really interested in) is full of it. I personally don't think it really exists, at least in the last few hundred years. It's probably been decreasing throughout history. The subject has been discussed here on the site several times, and you can search.
Yishai, for a symbolic amount, no problem. After all, they give a matchmaker a few thousand dollars, right?
Yishai, it is customary to say that the Rebbe can work salvation for a Hasid only if he has faith in the righteous. Therefore (in light of your past statements), I would recommend that you strengthen your faith in Rebbe Shalit, and only then deliver your Kvittel.
The Rebbe here works specifically for critical people, who write him critical kvittalach (shkuyrin: responses) and the Rebbe responds the same day with no less criticism 🙂
With blessings, Shimshon Hershaleh Halevi from Ostropol
See a comprehensive explanation in Chaim Weissman's book, Creation, Prophecy and Providence – Beliefs in the Teacher of the Confused, published by the ‘Har Bracha Institute’. For places on this site where providence is discussed, I noted at the end of the discussion on ‘Response to Intervention’, at the site of the Law.
With best regards, Sh”tz Levinger
