Jewish astrology
The week of the Rabbi.
Although I think I can guess the answer, I still want to ask.
I was recently exposed to lectures on Jewish astrology given by a Chabad woman.
She conducts training courses on the subject, including preparing astrological charts…
To the best of my knowledge and without delving into its contents – it is a pile of nonsense….
What is the Rabbi’s opinion on the matter?
Is there any tradition known about these matters? Or has a new revelation from heaven been made in recent years for a short time?
You guessed it right. As far as I understand, it’s all nonsense.
I would say (according to the Rabbi), there is no such thing as "Jewish astrology". Either there is universal astrology, or there is none at all.
That is certainly true. But I also argue that there is none at all.
Rabbi, in the Book of Creation attributed to Abraham our father, there are descriptions of the zodiac signs, even if it is not attributed to Abraham our father, I believe it is attributed to our people. Do you know? If not, I would be happy to comment.
Is there a question here?
When you write that it's all nonsense, you mean that you don't believe it at all, even though you accept that there are sources that are considered Jewish that mention these issues.
I will add to make it clear, it is clear that even if there are Jewish sources that wrote about this, it does not mean that you have to believe them, but if you know and are aware of these sources, what is your attitude towards them, and if you think that everything is nonsense, even what is written in the book of Creation about the zodiac signs, I am interested in receiving an answer.
If the mother of these sources is Jewish then they are Jewish sources of course.
There is no point in discussing a general source. Every claim is on its merits.
