The fathers

Regarding the stories of the patriarchs, don't they seem exaggerated, meaning they kidnap Sarah twice, they live for hundreds of years, Sarah gives birth at the age of ninety, the patriarchs are rotated through the cities where their sons build temples, Hebron, Shechem, Bethel (the act of the sons is a sign for the patriarchs)? Don't the stories seem typological?

I don't know. There may be parts that could be interpreted as myth rather than historical description. Regarding the cities that were consecrated by the sons, it could be the other way around: the sons consecrated them because the fathers wandered around them.
