Political decisions in halakhic rulings
Hello, how does the Rabbi view the issue of halakhic rulings that concern political issues? I mean that a halakhic issue that is discussed according to ancient sources is interpreted politically. How is it possible that in the end, most right-wing rabbis will rule in favor of continuing the war and against an agreement. And conversely, most left-wing and ultra-Orthodox rabbis will rule the opposite. Thank you
A halachic decision is often influenced by the worldview of the rabbi. There is nothing wrong with that. But it certainly means that there is no obligation to take it into account, since you can formulate your own worldview. There is a place to go to a rabbi and ask, based on your own worldview, what the halachic law says.
Beyond that, many rabbis have a tendency to present opinions as halakhic rulings. Such questions are often not halakhic questions at all.
