Oath for the purpose of receiving an inheritance
Hello Rabbi Michael,
In order to receive my aunt's estate, I was required to sign a document in which I swear to a number of facts regarding her details and my relationship with her. The document is a kind of legal document in England.
My question is whether I am allowed to sign such a document, or whether I should require a "Declare" form.

If it is possible to receive a declarative text, that is of course preferable. If not, you can sign it.
The signing may need to be done in the presence of a lawyer in Israel, before whom we will have to swear an oath.
Even then, if they insist on the oath, will it be possible to sign and swear orally?
Or is it more serious if you swear out loud?
This is more serious, and my words still stand. In other words, it is even more worthwhile to try and obtain a written statement. And even if you don't, you can swear.
