Do you use (consciously or not) these tools in studying the study of Sugia? Even there, a dichotomy that is usually presented in the Briscian method can be permitted?
Take, for example, the law that tools are only defiled by the father of defilement. The Qosh inquires, is the limit that the first does not have the power to defile tools, or is the limit that tools cannot be second.
Manifestly, I do not see a third possibility.
Or the well-known inquiry, is the basis for the liability for the harmful property because it is owned and that is it, or is the mere fact that it is not owned does not create an obligation to pay, and he must pay because he committed a crime in keeping it (which, since it is owned, he must keep it).
In principle, it is clear that this is also applicable to Talmudic scholarship, as in any other field. One must examine the issue through the prism of all these tools and see if one obtains something useful and logical.
But note that in the two examples you presented here, and this is usually the case in Talmudic study, there is no real dichotomy. As I explained in the column, a real dichotomy begins with the third law that is avoided, and it is always built on X or ‘not X’. In the two examples you gave, this is not the case. Two possibilities are presented there that are not mutually exclusive (they are not mutual negations). The indication is that they can go together (what requires tort is both ownership and negligence in maintenance. I proved this in my article on the matter in the internal method. The same is true for impurity).
In this sense, these examples do not need the tools I presented here, because they are not dichotomies in the first place. And there is still a tendency in yeshivahs to think about them dichotomously, and in my classes I often show that there are additional options.
The answer “mu” is interpreted in the context of the monk's story as “undefined” or “irrelevant”, meaning not just wrong but not even wrong. Not even a mistake. Not even beginning to be right. Undefined sentences are not wrong but are not sentences at all. There are actually four situations: in parallel with your analysis in the book Two Carts, there are three that are dogmatic, analytical, synthetic. And these correspond to the right, left, and middle in Kabbalah (the three lines of kindness, justice, mercy, or wisdom, intelligence, and knowledge. or childhood, girls, maturity). There is another situation that precedes all of these, and it is the crown, which is also a middle line and it precedes even dogmatism, and it is simply a lack of knowledge or a lack of position (due to ignorance or indifference) on some matter. We call this situation ignorance and it precedes dogmatism. It's like before the teachings of Hasidism, everyone was not Hasidic but also not opposed to Hasidism at the same time. Even today, there are non-Hasids who are not opposed because the teachings of Hasidism simply did not reach their area or reach their ears. Negation is neutral and not opposing. This is essentially the infancy stage.
Analyticity is opposing negation and syntheticity is essentially a type of sentence that supposedly contradicts the law of contradiction. A sentence that is both true and false at the same time. More precisely, a partially true sentence. Perhaps we could call it a sentence “about true”. This is essentially a sentence of the type of vague logic where truth is one and falsehood is zero in a perception of reality that is coarse (in coarse resolution) but in a fine resolution of the perception of reality, the description of the sentence falls somewhere on the continuum between them (which does not exist in coarse resolution).
How did you decide that this was Rabbi Kahneman's intention and not as understood by the Haredim?

The example of “The king of France is bald” Well known from the debate between Russell and Frege – this is not a claim that can be negated, because it has no real referent. There is no problem here with the law of the third admissible – but with the assumption that X is a claim at all.
The supervisor adds: When a meaningless claim appears to contradict logic – this is not a criticism, it is simply confusion.
2. Fuzzy logic ≠ logical solution
“The solution to the stacking paradox… stacking of 0.3 or 0.77.”
The fallacy:
This is not a solution to the paradox, but a redesign of language. Fuzzy logic offers a computational plane – but does not refute the original dichotomy. It is like changing units of measurement and declaring that we have solved the problem. Interesting – but not a logical revolution.
The supervisor adds: Redefining the question is a strategy – not an answer.
3. Future claims ≠ logical necessity
“If a naval battle occurs tomorrow – the claim about it is already true today.”
The fallacy:
Here we elegantly jump from syntax to metaphysics – and determine that in the future there is objective truth at this moment. Except that this is not derived from the third unavoidable law, but is actually the domain of theological determinism. This is more of a prediction-belief than a logical result.
The supervisor adds: When concepts wander between domains without a passport – this is not innovation but discourse confusion.
4. Poetry ≠ logic
“The room is neither small, nor large, nor medium…”
The fallacy:
This is poetic prose. At most – an exercise in metaphor. Agnon did not formulate a formal paradox here but an atmosphere. To conclude from this sentence about the collapse of a trichotomy is like basing a mathematical argument on a story by Mendel Mocher Sfarim.
The supervisor adds: When a parable becomes a parable and is presented as proof – the result is poetics, not formalism.
Scientific-moral summary:
You may be right that there is a need for mental flexibility, but as long as the ”logical rigidity” is converted into literary rhetoric, the dichotomy is not broken – only blurred.
The law of the avoided third is not a victim of ambiguous cases, but a guide to how to formulate arguments when there is meaning. And when the meaning is lost – it is not the fault of logic.

There are things that are like claims and are not claims (because there is no object on which they are claimed or for some other reason), and therefore it seems as if they violate the third law of avoidance. In ordinary claims, there is never a deviation from the third law of avoidance.
Congratulations, you were able to point out in my opinion a broader meaning. But in the matter of reading comprehension, a little more ‘who created’ is needed.

3. Future claims ≠ logical necessity
Nothing to do with metaphysics. My entire argument was that attaching a truth value to a claim is a logical and not a metaphysical act. That is precisely why it is disconnected from the timeline (it is a simple matter and anyone who disagrees with this is confused, or doesn't understand logic, or learned logic in the restroom). Anyone who draws metaphysical conclusions about determinism from this is making the exact same mistake in moving from logic (and not syntax) to metaphysics.
4. Poetry ≠ Logic
I didn't conclude anything from the anachronism. It would be good to improve the subject of literature in the toilets. Using literary illustrations is not supposed to prove anything but to illustrate claims.
In conclusion, it seems that when you learn all the wisdom in the toilets, you end up using pseudo-scientific jargon that hides a complete lack of understanding behind it.
